It's really easy to buy a ticket for the Northumberland Line.
We'd recommend buying your ticket in advance from the Northern website or App as you can then relax when you arrive at the station as you'll have your ticket on your phone.
If you need to buy a ticket at the station, then please don't arrive last minute as the trains have been busy and you do need to buy a ticket before you travel.
Here's a handy video to explain how to buy your ticket with a debit/credit card and if you want to pay cash, please click the Promise to Pay button and follow the instructions on screen so that it will print you a ticket that the conductor on the train can scan and you can pay them with cash.
If you're travelling with a Pop card, then please use the validator to tap in or out each time you pass through a station.
Pop offers great value if you're travelling on the Metro as well as the Northumberland Line.
You need to get your Pop card in advance of travelling and click here for more information on how to get your Pop card from Nexus.
Pop offers Pay As You Go or Season Ticket options for anyone aged 22 or over or choose Pop Blue for anyone up to the age of 22.
If you ever have any issues at a station, then each of the stations on the Northumberland Line have a help point.
If there's a question you need answering or there's something you need assistance with, then please use the help point.
Enjoy your journey.
