Getting to Newsham Station

There are lots of ways to get to Newsham station that don't need you to make a car journey.

The new station has pedestrian access at both sides of the station, with a fully accessible footbridge (with lifts) to make crossing from one side to the other, really simple.

The new station also has a covered cycle shelter (currently on the east side, adjacent to the Newcastle bound platform) and the shelter is covered as part of the CCTV that monitors the station.

There are also local bus services that serve stops that are very close to the station at Newsham.

Stops at Park Farm Villas (A & B on the map) are served by the X10 & X30

The X10 offers frequent services to Newsham, Druridge Drive and Blyth Town Centre via Newsham Road and Waterloo Road.

The X30 offers an hourly service (half hourly at peak times) to Newsham and Blyth Town Centre via Plessey Road and Waterloo Road.

Stops on South Newsham Road (C & D on the map) are served by the X8

The X8 offers frequent services to South Beach & Blyth Town Centre via South Newsham Road and the A193.

The station does have a car park with 95 spaces available on the east side of the station. If the car park becomes full, we have overflow parking available on weekdays at Blyth Town FC on Sandringham Drive (NE24 3PS) which is only a short walk from Newsham station.

Please do not park in Blagdon Drive or adjacent to Railway Cottages.
