Demobilisation and removal of works area on the A186 (Rotary Road)
We are shortly due to complete the ground investigation and mine remediations works at the Northumberland Park station site.
Following the completion of the current phase of works, the works compound on the A186 road will be removed. To undertake this work safely, we will need to temporarily close the Southbound A186/Rotary Road between the roundabout of Algernon Drive and Earsdon Road.
Work to demobilise the site is currently planned to start as from the 2 December and is expected to take up to five days to complete. Full road closures will be on weekdays between 09:30am and 3.30pm on the days the demobilisation takes place. Please note, there is a potential that this start date will be delayed slightly and that the activity to demobilise the site will not take place on concurrent days.
What to expect
The demobilisation works will see the removal of the plant and equipment currently located on the A186 during a full road closure. The works will be undertaken during daytime hours on weekdays, and we anticipate little disruption to neighbours from noise, dust or vibration.
Following this, both lanes of the A186 will be open to traffic and the footway will be reinstated on the east side.
Due to the need to fully close the A186/Rotary Road on these days, a Traffic Management and an agreed diversion route will be in place. Please see image one for exact details.
