Our next phase of works continues from those set out in our previous website post (dated 30 January 2025), and will take place across both the east and west of the site.
On the east side of the track and at the east roundabout, works include:
· Completion of surfacing and white lining on Blagdon Drive.
· Road surfacing between the east roundabout and Blagdon Drive.
· Football field access and bus stop kerbs installation.
· Installation of bus stop structure (temporary bus stop provision will be maintained through the works).
· East drainage basin completion.
· Site materials and storage areas cleared and demobilisation.
On the west side of the track works are continuing on the alignment of the road for the new west roundabout. The next phases of works include:
· Phase two starting on Saturday 1 March 2025, which will see a further traffic switch to allow works to progress to the north side of the old roundabout. During this phase, traffic will revert to ‘original’ double roundabout layout. Please see images below.

· There will then be further traffic switches throughout Spring 2025 to facilitate road realignment and removal of the old west roundabout. During these works traffic management will be in place in the form of two-way lights, and pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the works.
There will be periods where overnight closures will be required in order to facilitate traffic switches, undertake road crossings to install utilities, build traffic islands and surface the carriageway. These closures will be communicated in advance.
Work timings
The next phase of works includes some activities that must be done when trains are not running on the line. This means we will be carrying out works on all days of the week, midweek nights between 10:00pm – 6:00am and weekend days and nights anticipated between the hours of 10:00pm – 8:00am.
What to expect during these works
During this work, there is potential for some impact on people living and working close by, however every effort will be taken to limit this where practically possible. Any noise arising from the works will be within the legal levels under UK law and every effort to keep noise, dust and vibration, as limited as possible although some level of disturbance is to be expected.
